Chevron beads are very unique and special beads made in Venice and Murano (Italy). The beads were mostly made for export to Africa. Chevron beads are also a popular collector’s item and still have a high value in Africa today. They are worn for rituals and ceremonies and often even buried with the deceased. The most chevron beads have around 4 to 6 layers and the most popular colors to use were red, green and white.
